We are here defending the community of all the problems that are going on in the country.”Haroon was standing next to Shahzad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, to guard a gas station in the city.Suddenly, the trio was hit by a speeding car. They were taken to hospital but died from their injuries.A man in his 30s has since been arrested and a vehicle seized."West Midlands police have launched a murder inquiry and arrested a man. They have recovered a vehicle which will be examined by forensics experts," a police spokesman said.Riots have engulfed British cities since Saturday. Ever since, gangs of looters have terrorized residents and shop owners. The three Muslims of Pakistani origin acted after seeing gangs break into a petrol station and social club, and neighbors being beaten up, Jahan said.“He was trying to help his community," he said. The bereaved father said he did not recognize his son at first when he knew about the incident."I heard the thud, ran around and I saw three people on the ground," Jahan said."My instinct was to help the three people. I didn't know who they were, who'd been injured. I helped the first man, and somebody from behind told me my son was lying behind me."So I started CPR on my own son. My face was covered in blood, my hands were covered in blood."He said Haroon, a mechanic, was well-liked and well-known in the community."You lose your son, I can't describe to anyone what it feels like to lose your son," said Jahan, fighting back his tears.TensionIn Birmingham, about 200 residents gathered to hold a candle-lit vigil and pay tribute to the three Muslims."Blacks, Asians, whites. We all live in the same community. Why do we have to kill one another?" Jahan was quoted by CNN while urging residents to stay calm."What started these riots, and what's escalated them? Why are we doing this?"Prime Minister David Cameron said the killing was a "truly dreadful incident" and offered his condolences to the men's families. The premier said the "fightback" against rioting is under way, saying that every action would be taken to restore order.Cameron is expected to outline measures to deal with the disorder after a fifth night of violence seemed to be much prevented by a heavy police presence and heavy rain in some areas.Lawmakers are worried that rioters could use the opportunity to stir up racial tensions in the city."What we don't want is for other elements to now hijack what's happened and make this something else and make this more serious," said Shabana Mahmood, the member of parliament for Birmingham.Jahan, for his part, is doing his best to prevent that."You guys have got nothing better to do, go home men," the Muslim father told a group of angry Pakistanis.“Step forward if you want to lose your sons," he said."Otherwise, calm down and go home. Please!"::/artbody::::artendnote:: ::/artendnote::::artfootnote:: ::/artfootnote::::artmainimage::oimedia/onislamen/images/mainimages/Haroon, Ali and Abdul Musavir.jpg::/artmainimage::::artcaption::The three Muslims were killed while guarding their area in Birmingham::/artcaption::::artalt::Britain, riots, Muslims::/artalt::::artauthor:: ::/artauthor::::artboximage::::/artboximage::::artinterviewer:: ::/artinterviewer::::artcompiler:: ::/artcompiler::::artreviewer:: ::/artreviewer::::arttranslator:: ::/arttranslator::::artsource::OnIslam & News Agencies::/artsource::::artreference:: ::/artreference::::artlink1::Poverty, Prejudice Fuel London Riots::/artlink1::::artlinkurl1::http://www.onislam.net/english/news/europe/453434-poverty-prejudice-fuel-london-riots.html::/artlinkurl1::::artlink2::Unemployment, Police Cause London Riots::/artlink2::::artlinkurl2::http://www.onislam.net/english/news/europe/453400-unemployment-police-cause-london-riots.html::/artlinkurl2::::artlink3::UK Muslims "Under Siege" in Suburbs::/artlink3::::artlinkurl3::http://www.onislam.net/english/news/europe/449887-uk-muslims-qunder-siegeq-in-suburbs-study.html::/artlinkurl3::::artlink4::Anti-Muslim Prejudice Normal in UK: Britons::/artlink4::::artlinkurl4::http://www.onislam.net/english/news/europe/450703-anti-muslim-prejudice-normal-in-uk-britons.html::/artlinkurl4::::artlink5::UK Muslim Police Blast Anti-terror Policy::/artlink5::::artlinkurl5::http://www.onislam.net/english/news/europe/444173.html::/artlinkurl5::::button_submit::::/button_submit::::jseblodend::::/jseblodend::
